The RCIPA Community Health & Education Foundation, Inc. (RCIPA Foundation) was created in 1996 as a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation with the
mission of supporting non-profit organizations whose activites are related to community health and welfare, medical education and the health sciences and are located in Rochester, New York and the surrounding counties
of Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates.
The RCIPA Foundation was created by the Rochester Community Individual Practice Association, Inc. (RCIPA) to serve as the charitable arm of RCIPA's physician-led healthcare and business activities.
The RCIPA Foundation is now a Private Foundation fully-supported by RCIPA with the same historical mission of supplying funding assistance to non-profit Rochester-area organizations serving the healthcare needs of the
Rochester-community notably underserved populations—the RCIPA Foundation also funds academic (both doctors & nursing) and continuing medical education via endowments, scholarships & fellowships through Rochester-area
universites & colleges and local hospital systems.
